The Agnivela philosophy

Relaxation and new strength through the stored life energy of essential oils. Aromatherapy is used for health care. Essential oils can mobilize the self-healing powers and strengthen the immune system.

The recipes were developed by the well-known perfumer and experienced aromatherapist Kim Weisswange on behalf of Agnivela. Only the finest raw materials are used in the Agnivela Aromatherapy series. Environmentally friendly and energy-saving production is important to us. The bottles, closures and necessary outer packaging are made of recyclable materials.

Under the direction of Agnes Wehr, Agnivela GmbH creates products that are unrivaled in terms of their high quality, good skin tolerance and attractive design.

Holism and sustainability are the foundations of our work. We rely on natural, vegan raw materials, mainly from controlled organic cultivation (kbA). Out of conviction we avoid genetically modified ingredients. Our entire range is vegan and produced without animal suffering. Our products are manufactured in a sustainable, environmentally friendly and resource-saving manner. Equal attention is paid to the content and packaging of the products. Not only the products are produced sustainably, but the entire company contributes to environmental and climate protection. We pay attention to climate-neutral transport routes for our raw and auxiliary materials. Our suppliers are only a 1.5 hour drive from our production site. The principle of short delivery routes, thus fewer emissions, is successfully implemented by us.

All products receive a safety rating and meet strict certification requirements.

Bergamot

The relaxation oil

Bergamot (Citrus bergamia) is a small, delicate tree belonging to the citrus family and is a hybrid of lemon and bitter orange. The fruits are round or pear-shaped and resemble lemons or limes. 90% of the world production of bergamot is grown in the Italian coastal region of Calabria. The weather conditions there are particularly favorable with long, hot summers, lots of rain and mild winters, and the oil is of correspondingly high quality.

The fruits of the trees are used less as fruit and are mainly grown to extract the essential oils found in the bergamot peel. The skins are gently cold-pressed shortly before ripening in order to be able to optimally preserve the valuable ingredients.
The "green gold" plays an important role in the perfume industry, but is also used to flavor Earl Gray tea, for example.

The scent of bergamot is clarifying, fresh, lemony and tart. The fragrant oil surpasses many other natural essential oils with its complexity of over 350 different aromas.

The main components of bergamot are monoterpenes, esters and monoterpenols. Essential oils with a high proportion of monoterpenes have a refreshing effect on the spirit and without stimulating you. They also have a mood-enhancing, revitalizing and stimulating effect.

Esters (monoterpene esters) also make up about a third. These ingredients ensure good skin tolerance, pain relief and anti-fungal effects. Monoterpenols also support the immune system against viruses and bacteria. They have a positive influence on hormones, the cardiovascular and nervous systems.

Naturally pure bergamot oil is very similar to lavender in terms of its ingredients, from which it can be concluded that it has a strong calming and mood-enhancing effect on the central nervous system and thus has a positive influence on depression, restlessness, anxiety and insomnia.

In addition, the essential oil soothes skin irritations and softens dry and chapped skin. It has a positive effect on the cell regeneration process (anti-aging) and inhibits inflammation in acne, eczema and psoriasis. Bergamot oil has a diuretic effect and disinfects the urogenital tract. Therefore, it is often used in a sitz bath to treat bladder infections and urinary tract infections. The antiseptic effect also relieves the symptoms of bronchitis, coughs, colds, throat and larynx infections.

Neroli oil has always been one of the most expensive essences. A ton of freshly collected flowers are processed for one liter. The best neroli oil comes from the flowers of the bitter orange, Citrus aurantium.

Transported by sea in containers, the countless raw materials for cosmetics reach the port of Hamburg. In order to be able to guarantee product safety, safety assessments and marketability tests were carried out on Agnivela products by an independent test laboratory. Knowing that essential oils can only unfold their rich effects, Agnivela uses 100% vegan, natural quality oils from controlled organic cultivation.
